At a young age, Frederik was already tech-savvy, playing around with chemistry boxes, fiddling with electronic components, programming his computer and competing in tech contests. Eager to investigate the latest biotech developments, he successfully obtained a Master in Bioscience Engineering: Cell and Gene Biotechnology, after his Master in Biochemical Engineering Technology. During and after his studies, he travelled Europe to work on collaborative projects in the moving domain of yeast biotechnology.
Today, he still loves to play with yeast when he is making wine or beer. When you don't find him stirring in a kettle, he is probably playing guitar, throwing a frisbee or going for a ski ride.
